WHO WE ARE AND WHAT IS OUR MISSION?
Oklan Best Limited has been an exporting firm from the onset, in order to provide and maintain quality and quantity in our trading business, we went into backward integration, where we focused on the globalization of international standards on food safety in organic agricultural produce such as shea butter, yam tubers & yam products, plantain & plantain products, beans, cassava products, etc.
We also train and provide planting materials to agribusiness stakeholders such as farmers and producers, where we also use the medium to emphasise the importance of having and maintaining standards, safety and traceability in their day to day farm practices. The farmers also get the assurance that we off-take their harvest. We collaborate with the government to facilitate access to finance for these farmers.
For instance, in the case of beans, immediately after harvest, threshing and drying, Oklan Best limited off-takes the harvest using special storage bags designed to protect grains against pest infestation (PICS bags), to transport and transfer the produce from the farm to its silos for longer storage without the addition of synthetic pesticides which makes the beans free of any pesticide residue.
